In 2018, 51.8% of U.S. adults had at least 1 chronic health condition, and 27.2% had multiple chronic conditions.
Not far behind, more than 40% of school aged children and adolescents in the United States have at least one chronic health condition, such as asthma, obesity, other physical conditions, and behavior/learning problems. 1 in 15 have multiple chronic health condition. And, for the first time in American history, our youth are not projected to outlive their parents.
